Crisis situactions
For emergencies, we are available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
In urgent emergency situations undertaken by law enforcement authorities, such as the arrest of a person or a search of premises, we provide legal assistance consisting in defence/representation by participating in all of the above activities.
We ensure the participation of defence counsel at every stage of the detention, in particular in the questioning the suspect and the possible court hearing on the application for pre-trial detention.
What are crisis situations?
Critical events requiring urgent legal assistance may be actions of law enforcement authorities, such as:
- detention of a person,
- search of premises,
- or a request to hand over certain items.
The participation of a defence counsel in the questioning of a suspect, a court hearing on a motion for provisional arrest is of considerable importance from the point of view of protecting the interests of an individual.
Please note that the authorities must immediately allow a detainee to contact a lawyer upon his/her request.
A suspect has the right to a defence counsel from the very first steps directed at the prosecution of that person. For a person deprived of liberty, a defence counsel may be appointed by any person.
